Lyrical Lao

Greetings

Lyrical Lao is a continuation of Lao Fye. This fan site is dedicated to promoting and sharing Lao pop music as well as other entertainment news. The goal of this website is to give recognition to our Lao artists and the young pop industry. There were no pop music in Laos prior to year 2000 because of government restriction. Since then, the Lao music industry has taken a big leap. There are more variety of music than before with the additions of hip hop, r&b, rock, pop, and modern dance music in Laos. Videos production has improved dramatically and there are many young artists on the rise. Of course, Laos still has a long way to go in discovering its’ music identity. But, as the saying goes, “you have to start somewhere”, and I hope to continue watching the industry grow and evolve.

I will try my best to update this site regularly, but please keep in mind that this is just a hobby and the updates will likely happen during my free time. Any piece of information, no matter how small or large, is appreciated and will help keep Lyrical Lao up to date.

Downloads Policy

I have decided to implement the policy of “No Downloads” on this website because I wanted us to support Lao artists by buying their albums. However, you are free to ask questions here and hopefully someone will be able to help you. I hope you understand.

About Webmaster

I don’t live in Laos and don’t have relation to any record labels.
I can’t read the Lao language, so if you post questions in pasa Lao I will not be able to answer you (unless I can get someone to translate them for me). I apologize in advance if I don’t get back to you because of mentioned reason.
